Lindsay Hayler is from the beautiful beach town of Wilmington, NC. She was one of the first home-educated students to graduate from Wake Forest University, and subsequently taught English as a Second Language as a Teach for America corps member to seventh graders in the Houston Independent School District. Afterwards, she completed a Master’s in Public Health (Management, Policy and Community Health) with the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center, and then completed a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She has been a dermatology physician assistant for 17 years and is a Diplomate with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (the premier training program for dermatology PAs). In mid-life, Lindsay began to realize she wanted to better help her dermatology patients suffering from autoimmune and inflammatory disease discover the root causes of their issues. She began to understand that the current health care model is more of a “sick care” model, where patients are treated once they are sick, and then it is mostly symptom relief. She is now certified as an Integrative Health Practitioner and is also a certified bioidentical hormone Biote provider. Recently she completed coursework in Integrative Dermatology, and is currently completing her certification in Functional Nutrition. Along the way, she began to conceptualize a clinic where patients could learn about disease prevention and could be assessed holistically to optimize their health, their skin, and their healing. Uplift Wellness & Aesthetics is the fulfillment of this dream, and it is her greatest honor to practice medicine in the beautiful mountain town of Monteagle, TN, perched atop the spectacular Cumberland Plateau.
Lamar Hardy, DO, FAAD, is a triple board-certified dermatologist. Board-certified in Micrographic Dermatological Surgery, Dermatopathology, and General Dermatology, he provides supervising medical direction for Uplift Wellness & Aesthetics. Dr. Hardy’s journey began at The Citadel studying biology before serving as a US Navy pilot. After his decorated aviation career, he earned his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. His dermatology training took him from Naval Air Station Sigonella in Sicily to a residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego, followed by a Dermatopathology fellowship at Walter Reed in Washington, D.C., and advanced Mohs surgery training under Dr. Bruce Feldman. He has served as Chair of Dermatology at Naval Medical Center San Diego and assistant professor at the Uniformed Services University. Dr. Hardy specializes in comprehensive dermatologic care including Mohs surgery, dermatopathology, laser medicine, Botox, chemical peels, and injectable fillers. Outside the office, Dr. Hardy enjoys cycling and spending time with his wife Jennifer and their two children, Grace and Walter.
Shaleigh grew up in Palmer, TN. She is a dedicated Medical Assistant who enjoys helping others and providing compassionate care. Before joining Uplift, she spent three years in home health care and completed her Nursing Assistant course. In her free time, Shaleigh enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and making memories with the people she loves.
Jessica’s hometown is Ft. Myers, FL. For the last 20 years, she has assisted and cared for ophthalmic patients in Memphis, TN. She recently relocated to this area to join Uplift Wellness & Aesthetics. Jessica loves helping clients feel comfortable and informed. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, and the outdoors.
Megan grew up in Monteagle, TN and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2021. She recently joined Uplift Wellness & Aesthetics as receptionist. She loves helping others and building client relationships. In her free time, Megan enjoys traveling, photography, and spending time with friends and family.
